About Dewalokam Resort, a Farmstay Retreat in the hill station Idukki of Kerala
Dewalokam Farmstay retreat is an organic farm spread over 10 acres in an estate where spices, vegetables fruits, milk, eggs, fish and meat are produced without the help of chemicals and pesticides. You can find fruits like Mangoes, Jackfruits lemons, papayas, water apples and pine apples as well as spices like Cardamom, pepper, turmeric, ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon are also produced. For meat and the dairy products, they have goats, cows, buffalos,pigs and chicken, turkeys and gini fowls.
Accommodation facilities at the Dewalokam Resort
There are 4 houses at the bank of the Kannadipuzha river and three out of these four houses are available for the guests . There are 15 double bedded rooms are there, out of which 8 rooms are on the first floor of the central block, that overlooks Nilgiris Mountains beyond the river and the forests. The restaurant, 4 rooms for Ayurvedic treaments , a kitchen and a large lounge area are in the ground floor.
Three bedrooms / apartments are available in the nearby nalukettu , the traditional home with wooden walls and an open space in the center with in each apartment. The other 4 rooms are in a house which is about 200 meters from these rooms. The house has 4 twin bedded rooms and is placed amidst forests. The rooms have attached baths and bath tubs with 24 hour hot and cold water.
