Vagamon- a lovely place for the trekkers

Kerala is known to everyone as the "God's own Country". It has everything one would wish to see and enjoy, mountains, hills and with them beautiful waterfalls, paddy fields, coconut groves, rivers, backwaters, winding roadways just like winding waterways of rivers and backwaters, and its own art and culture and of course last but not the least Ayurveda, the ancient medicine which you can get in almost all the resorts and spas in each and every district in Kerala.
Vagamon is one such place you would enjoy going to. Vagamon is a hill station just 64 kms from Pala and situated at an elevation of 1100 metres above sea level amidst the hills and mountains bordering the Idukki and Kottaym Districts. It is an ideal tourist spot which has tea gardens, beautiful green meadows, vales and dales.
Trekking enthusiasts will love trekking in the hills about 1100 meters tall hill. Thangalpara, an Indo - Swiss Project and Kurisumala Ashram are some of the spots you would like to visit in this area.
This is an ideal place for honeymooners and cottages and other accommodation are also available. Bird's Sanctuary at Kumarakom, Munnar and Kodaikkanal are also easily accessible from Vagamon.
