Day 1  arrival at cochin and reach Munnar ( 135 kilometers) 
You will be met on the arrival at the Cochin airport or the railway station  and will be driven to Munnar.  As you reach Munnar you will be checked in to the hotel.  In the evening you will be visiting Tea museum and Pothamedu view point. The rest of the day will be your leisure for you to take rest and enjoy your vacation. stay at the hotel at Munnar for the night.

Day 2 - Sight seeing in Munnar
You will be visiting Mattupetty Dam, Echo point, Kundala Dam and Top station.Evening you will be back to the hotel for the night stay.

Day 3  return to Cochin and then onward journey

How to Reach Munnar?

Munnar is a beautiful hill station located in the Idukki district of the state of Kerala in India.  Munnar hill station is easily accessible from Kerala as well as the state of Tamil Nadu. There is a wide network of air, rail and roadways connecting the state of Kerala with other states and the metropolitan cities of Inia.


To Reach Munnar if you are travelling by air
There are 3 international airports in the state of Kerala, naely, Thiruvananthpuram, Kochi and Kozhikode. All the three airports handle a large number of domestic and international flights.  Munnar can be easily reached from these three airports as well as Coimbatore airport in Tamil Nadu. You can get private cabs and state transport buses to reach Munnar from wherever you are.
From Kochi it is about 140 kilometers and the route will take you through Kothamangalam and Adimali. Munnar is just 30 kilometers from Adimali.
Coimbatore is 150 kilometers away from Munnar. The route will take you through Pollachi, Udumalpet, Marayoor and then Munnar.

To reach Munnar if you are travelling by Rail
Aluva is the closest railway station and located at about 120 kilometers from Munnar. You can hire a taxi from just outside the railway station to go to Munnar. If you are interested in travelling by bus you can get into  state transport buses which ply frequently in the route.
Theni in Tamilnadu is the closest railway station to Munnar but only a train or two reaches theni from Madurai. If you can get that train you can reach Munnar through Bodinaickanur by bus in two and a half hours time.

 You can get into Munnar by Road, the road through which you will be travelling is scenic and beautiful.  You can get private  and government operated buses are available from various locations in Kerala and Tamil Nadu to Munnar.
