Coconut Island Resort near Thrissur

Coconut Island is located  at about 12 kilometers away from the Guruvayur Temple and about 70 kilometers from the Kochi inyternational  airport at Nedumbassery.
The nearest Railway station is Thrissur which is about 28 kilometers away.  and Thrissur Bus stand is also 28 kilometers away from the island.

About the Coconut Island Resort
This is a exclusive  guesthouse  which is located in a private island off the canoli canal  which is about 150 meters from the mainland in the backwaters of Kerala.
 You cannot see any other  inhabitants in the island except Brahminy Kites, Pond herons, King fishers, Owls and crabs. The island is a coconut plantation. Not only  Coconut trees, there are mango trees, Gooseberry and Neem trees and a natural garden as well. The south end of the island is kept as a wild garden for birds with mango trees and some medicinal plants.

The resort has one cottage and it is meant for one family where there can be 2  adults with 2 kids on extra beds. At the maximum 4 persons of the same family can stay there.  the bedroom has two beds on beautifully carved wooden cots.  The room is equipped with cupboard, dressing table, writing desk,  and chairs etc.
The island house does not have a in house restaurant but food can be arranged if requested. There is another cottage there at the island which serves as klitchen if needed.
