Coconut creek Farm and Homestay, Kumarakom
Coconut Creek Homestay, a diamond graded one, is located near Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary in the kottayam district of the Kerala state in India. This is a bed and breakfast homestay which comes cheaper than most of the resorts and hotels of the area. This type of homestays are best suited for the backpackers and budget travellers. They have A/C and Non A/C rooms with well equipped and furnished rooms.
The homestay is a converted 60 year old bungalow with modern facilities and amenities.

You can visit the farm which is located in an area of 4 acres which is filled with coconut trees, mango trees, small banana and jackfruit trees and many more.

Backwater cruises and houseboat trips can be arranged if requested.
Ayurvedic treatments can also be arranged through registered institutions.
You can go for a walk in the villages to mingle with the villagers and know more about their daily activities.
You can not only taste freshly caught fish from the backwaters, you can also try your hand at angling. You can catch your own fish and ask the chef to cook them for you.
You can shop at the Kottayam town for handicraft and other items.
